Day 29 - Sun August 28, 2016

Day 29 - Sun August 28, 2016

Gananoque, ON to
Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Home stretch - Last Day on the road and our last vacation day, but for me everyday is a vacation day.

Before leaving Gananoque Karen and I tour some of the historic homes in the town, some are now country inns and some are still private homes.

Gananoque is also the home of Canada's first diesel locomotive, on display on the original right of way.

Yes at one time this shoreline was the Thousand Islands Railway, running from Gananoque Jct to Gananoque (City Centre).

Gananoque Jct, ON - VIA has two trains that stop here each day and this is a flag stop.

Chester and Morley like Algonquin Chairs, this is the parting shot of the trip.

The Albertross is just about home, just have to travers Toronto on HWY#401 and we are done!

TRIP STATS:
Total Distance:  7,856km
Time on the Road: 29 days
Motorcycle ridden in the following provinces:
- Quebec
- New Brunswick
- Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island
- Newfoundland and Labrador

Trailer survived as did the Mercedes GLK, except for some kind of noise in the front differental?, had to replace the Auxiliary Battery in Halifax.  Karen graduated from "Trailer School", and our marriage survived as well.  Karen got to ride on the motorcycle in every Provence except in Newfoundland, and experienced what is like to ride in the rain, she also found out that a white leather jacket might not be the best for motorcycling or for use in the rain.

A more detail summery will be issued in about 10 days, lots of data to download and process.

One EPIC trip!
